Ch. 3 - Ethics & Social Responsibility


Movado is donating $50 from each purchase to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF).
This is the first time I've seen Movado participate in this type of marketing, they may have been a part of something like this before but this is the first time I've seen something from them. The Bold series of Movado is selling regularly for $350 so they have chosen to sell this watch at $395 to avoid lose. In actuality because of the major loses suffered prior to the past marketing plan they cant really afford to lose so this can be considered understandable to raise the price. The bottom of the pyramid says the economic responsibilities are to "Be Profitable". In all the research and with all the time that I have followed this company I've never heard of them breaking the law. Movado is my favorite watch company and I am a Marine so if I did happen to hear of something morally or ethically wrong I probably wouldnt purchase their products.
